Hannah Al-Souqi

My name is Hannah, and I am a mother of four—one son and three little girls. We are a world-schooling family, combining education with travel as we visit family in both Syria and Jordan. Homeschooling has been a fulfilling journey that allows my children to learn at their own pace, deeply exploring subjects while experiencing real-life situations and connections to different cultures.

I believe in drawing from various educational philosophies, especially the Montessori and Waldorf methods for my younger children, while remaining open to growing and developing my own philosophy. With a background in mathematics and experience teaching 4th and 5th-grade math, I’ve learned that children need to discover their own ways of learning, especially when it comes to problem-solving and hands-on experimentation.

As a family, we strive to model the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in all aspects. Children are incredible learners, absorbing everything we model for them, and who better to emulate than the Prophet himself? We focus on respect, life skills, and most importantly, nurturing a strong sense of faith and connection to their roots. My life is centered around the joy of raising my "littles," and together, we learn, grow, and thrive.
